Computational Technologies Project

GUEST INVESTIGATORS

To prepare the general Earth and space sciences (ESS) community for next-generation computing systems and facilitate knowledge sharing among the diverse HPCC communities, a portion of the CRAY T3E supercomputer was open to users other than the Grand Challenge Investigator teams. Through a biannual solicitation, what was then the ESS Project distributed 20 percent of the testbed resources to the ESS and space flight communities. Guest Investigators concluded their work in 2001.
