ESS Project: FY98 Annual Report

Applications

Guest Investigators

To prepare the general Earth and space science community for next-generation computing systems and facilitate knowledge sharing among the diverse HPCC communities, a portion of the CRAY T3E testbed is open to users other than the Grand Challenge Investigator teams. Through a biannual solicitation, the ESS Project distributes 20 percent of the testbed resources to the ESS and space flight communities. The Computational Aerosciences Project allocates 15 percent of the T3E resources through its annual solicitation process.
